Description and Race Plans |
|
|
| |
Philip Kirby
has been looking for a hurdling prospect for us for some
time, a horse which could rise through the ranks and
hopefully give us some competitive runs at a decent grade.
In response, he found this promising gelding for us, and he
hasn't disappointed, winning only his third race for us.
Stormy Morning's ability on the flat is not in question, as
this gelding has been ultra consistent through the 2011
season for Pat Eddery. If anything, he has run into a few
improving horses which has meant he has had to settle for
the runners up spot on a number of occasions. He is able to
settle well and tends to come with his run over three of
four furlongs out, and then runs down the opposition.
Competitive from one mile four furlongs and up, he has a
straight-forward racing style and we expect Philip will be
able to place him well in order to provide further winners
enclosure finishes.
However, Philip is currently actively racing this
gelding through a winter campaign over hurdles. He had
previously raced over hurdles, but was extremely novicey in
the way he took his jumps, ruining any chance of getting
competitive. However, with Philip in charge and another year under his belt, a
he has mastered his jumping, and this son of Nayef has proven to be
a very decent proposition over sticks.
Philip stated "To look at him he struck me as being a real
hurdling type. He has tons of bone and is very compact,
both of which are very positive signs. Since getting him
home he's shown himselve to be very straightforward and a
nice horse to have around. On the racecourse it only
took a couple of runs for us to work him out and then he
went in for us. He's going to be a really exciting
horse for 2012 and beyond because we can go both jumping and
flat routes with him, and you never know he may even jump a
chase fence."
He added
'He's a really nice addition to our winter team, and will
earn his oats on the flat next summer as well. I'm looking
forward to getting at least another win if not more from him." concluded Philip. |

How to book a share
or find out more |
|
|
| |
We find that most shareholders
will either want to speak to us or find out further
information about the racehorse before they join the
syndicate. We urge potential syndicate to call us and
get their questions answered - so that you can speak to the
syndicate manager and understand exactly what to expect from
your ownership. You will not get any sort of hard
sell, we would rather you know exactly who we are, what we
will deliver and what we expect from the horse, rather than
be disappointed after a few months.
Either call 0845 8381532 for an informal chat or to email us
click on the link below. If you want to proceed will
we send you an Ownership contract which lays out your full
entitlements in detail. |
