The team at The Racehorse Company have been involved in the UK racing industry for over ten years - building a business which provides racehorse syndication and the best in racing information concerning your racehorse.

We have syndicated over 30 racehorses during the last three years, and with our sister site (www.ownaracehorse.co.uk) we aim to provide affordable, and enjoyable racehorse ownership.

Our primary service has over 3000 satisfied customers each year and provides an innovative and cost effective method of owning and managing racehorses.  The success of Ownaracehorse has helped create our full owned syndication service - The Racehorse Company.

We are a limited company (Ownaracehorse Ltd) and The Racehorse Company is our fully owned syndicate brand.  We have been in the syndication business since 2003.  We employ eight people including syndicate managers and on-course representatives and we are backed by a company called 'Bonsoir Of London', a group of companies with a combined turnover of more than £40m per year.


Our Experience

Our sourcing people understand the bloodstock industry and have two primary objectives - find horses which are ready to run; and trained by people who will place them to win.  Although we can't guarantee your horse will definitely win, or how many times it will run, we attempt to ensure you get the highest value possible from your racehorse experience.  With all our racehorses we always guarantee our clients their horse will run - on average our racehorses run 7 times per season.


Our Approach

We take a different approach to racehorse ownership - many would-be owners simply can't afford to buy an entire horse, let alone pay the high cost of keeping a horse in training.  Our aim is to provide racehorse ownership at a level where the finances make sense, and without the need to feel as if you are only a small cog in a large wheel.

We strive to make each syndicate we run as personal as possible.  Our full ownership syndicates never have more than 10 people in a single horse and even our budget syndicates only involve 30-70 people.  This means we can provide a far more personal experience for everyone involved.

 

Our Selection or Horses

You will notice that unlike many syndication companies we do not constantly have two-year-olds available to purchase. If you like huge risks, then two-year-olds are fine - however we prefer to purchase tried and tested, robust horses which will provide plenty of racing action for our shareholders and also provide competitive racing at a decent level.

With over 80% of two-year-olds failing to run more than 3 times in their first season, and the massive drop-out in their three and four year old careers, we have found our method of picking up decent performers at three and four has paid dividends and produced plenty of winners and horses paying their way.

A good example of this is Sarahs Art, a horse we bought when on a rating of 55, but now races competitively off 80 and above and has won eight races during the last two years, including the £20,000 added 'Greys race' at Newmarket.

We have a mixture of horsemen and business people within The Racing Company.  We understand that your investment has to pay back in terms of the satisfaction you gain from your involvement and we strive to ensure that you have a thrilling time at the races, whether your horse wins or not.
